How it works
Each card has the Japanese phrase, a romaji reading you can try saying, and the English meaning. Showing the screen is perfectly fine; staff at the front desk are used to it.
The phrases are short and polite (desu/masu form), which suits any front desk. For tattoos, ask before you pay: policies differ by facility, and our tattoo-friendly finder shows what each listed Kansai facility says on its website.
If you or someone with you feels unwell in the bath or sauna, tell staff straight away — the help card is there for that.
